About Vaginal Birth after Cesarean.
Many women who have experienced a cesarean section birth are told it is necessary to have a cesarean section for all subsequent births. This is simply untrue. A vaginal birth after a cesarean birth is possible, and, as research shows, a much safer route. Many mothers are choosing a VBAC for emotional healing. In order to truly achieve the emotional healing, women must confront their emotions surrounding their previous birth experiences and their upcoming birth. Fear, anxiety, and anger are very strong emotions that can change the outcome of any desired situation. To prevent this, these intense, negatively charged emotions need to be processed and going at such a task alone is very difficult and daunting. A VBAC Preparation Mentor can support these mothers and assist in the process of emotional healing.
What is a VBAC Preparation Mentor™ (VPM™)?
A VBAC Preparation Mentor™ is a trained birth professional specializing in emotional preparation for a vaginal birth after a cesarean birth.
What does a VBAC Preparation Mentor™ do?
A VBAC Preparation Mentor™ guides a post-cesarean mother planning a VBAC through the emotional healing and preparation protocol developed by VBAC Support International Founder, Leigh Anne DuChene.
Certification is independent of training. You do not have to become certified to be a VBAC Preparation Mentor. The certification process is for those who wish to deepen their understanding of cesarean section recovery both physically and emotionally, emotional healing, physical preparedness for a VBAC, emotional preparedness for a VBAC; and to strengthen their ability to work with clients on a potentially more profound level.

Cost:
Certification Packet – $35
Certification Portfolio Review – $65 (due at time of portfolio submission)
You must be at least 18 years old.

- Pass an open book online test. An 85% passing grade is required, you will have two attempts at the test.
