Our mission at VBAC Support International is to assist women in healing from traumatic birth experiences and preparing to have a healing birth; as well as, healing the culture of birth in our society.

We envision a world were birth is culturally considered a sacred, honored, and respected natural occurring event.
We envision a world where:
- Birth is completely trusted.
- There is complete faith in:
- Mother.
- The Mother’s Body.
- Baby.
- The Birth Process.
- Birth is allowed to unfold, unhindered, as it is meant to.
- Intervention(s) are preserved for the situations that truly need it.
- Birth has no restrictions or limitations put on it.
- Birth is honored and celebrated.
- Birth is considered a sacred journey for mother, father, and the family.
- Birth is empowering for the birthing mother.
- Women are given the support, information, and resources they need to achieve their desired birth experience.
- Childbirth education and informed decisions are the center of birth plans.
- Birth plans and decisions are honored and respected by care providers,
- Any deviation is by true informed consent.

Goals
We strive to:
- Educate birth and postpartum professionals on the importance of emotional recovery from traumatic birth experiences.
- Educate birth professionals on the importance of emotional preparation for birth.
- Offer unique and elite training programs for birth and postpartum professionals.
- Provide professional support to all VSI members.
- Educate society on the truths about birth and dispelling the myths surrounding birth.
- Provide emotional preparation for birth to expectant women.
- Encourage childbirth education and preparation, and informed decision making to expectant women.
- Encourage and support women to have empowered birthing experiences.
- Supporting women’s choices for their desired birth experience.
- Provide emotional recovery from traumatic birth experiences to post-traumatic birth mothers.
- Encourage and support breastfeeding, attachment parenting, and other conscious parenting aspects.
