The Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area of Texas now has VSI Support Groups for BOTH Traumatic Birth Recovery and VBAC Support.
Currently these two groups are meeting together, till membership increases to warrant two separate meetups, if the group members so desire.
The group will be meeting the fourth Thursday of the month (unless holidays conflict) at 7pm at the Sunflower Shoppe in Colleyville, TX off of Hwy 121.
Their first meeting is Thursday, September 23, 2010 at 7pm at the Sunflower Shoppe. No reservations or special notices necessary to attend. If you have any questions please contact the group leader, Leigh Anne DuChene, at LeighAnne@VBACSupport.com.
This is a VSI support group, which means that it is three dimensional. First, this is a FREE peer-to-peer, and peer-lead support group. Second, this group’s main focus (though, not only focus) is emotional healing, recovery, support, and encouragement. Third, birth and postpartum professionals are welcome, and encouraged, to attend, and those that become supporting members of VSI are able to promote their profession through VSI, before or after meetups, but not during. This includes VSI trained and/or certified professionals. However, during each meet-up VSI Network Members are recognized for their support.
